Highpoint Center for Printmaking is pleased to present SILVER, an exhibition of prints by members of its artists’ studio cooperative. This summer’s show, the 25th Highpoint Cooperative exhibition, features the work of 37 local printmakers currently working in Highpoint’s facilities.

Nearly 90 pieces were selected by the co-op’s curatorial committee for exhibition. Printmaking methods represented include lithography, relief, intaglio, screenprinting, monotype, and collograph. The prints will be on view and available for purchase July 18 – August 23, 2014.

The public is invited to an opening reception on Friday, July 18, from 6:30 – 9 pm. At this free event, guests will have the opportunity to mingle with the artists, tour HP’s printshop, and enjoy beverages and hors d’oeuvres. Guests are encouraged to take advantage of a one-night-only 20% discount for all co-op member prints on the walls as well as shrink-wrapped work in the sale racks.

About the Co-op:

HP’s cooperative artists are provided key card access to a fully equipped printmaking facility where they can independently work in the space. Co-op members have two annual shows in our main gallery, exhibition opportunities in our Threshold Gallery, and ½ price discounts on most adult classes/workshops. The communal print shop atmosphere fosters new relationships, knowledge sharing among printers, and the chance to be part of this unique organization.

We offer Co-op discounts to recent college graduates, recent HP interns, and also to our annually renewing members. If you would like to see the space for yourself or talk more about membership options, please contact us at: info@highpointprintmaking.org. More information on Co-op membership can be found here.
