Five Beauties Rising
Highpoint Editions is thrilled to present a powerfully significant body of work by renowned artist Willie Cole. The project echoes Cole’s explorations in other media, while allowing him to delve deeper. The editions include 27 “Beauties:” delicate intaglio/relief prints of full-scale ironing boards, as well as several series of small and large screen printed “virgins:” iron patterns in a vibrant range of colors. A large woodcut relief print, Sole Sisters, rounds out the group and extends the narrative.
