Dyani White Hawk (right) and studio assistant Jennie Kappenman (left) stand before an untitled art piece by Hawk on Saturday, April 6. White Hawk is a contemporary artist who focuses on traditional Native American art forms, like quillwork and beadwork.

Highpoint Editions Artist Dyani White Hawk has a solo show, “See Her” in the Lilley Museum of Art at the University of Nevada, Reno. Created specifically for the Lilley Museum, the works include large-scale abstract paintings and mixed-media works. As with most of Dyani’s work, the pieces incorporate abstract painting and Native American artistic practice, specifically Lakota art forms.

On view April 4 through May 23.
