Teen Program Exhibition & Student Exhibition

Highpoint hosts hands-on printmaking classes for school visitors from the metro area and beyond. Students in grades 1 – 12 visited Highpoint to create their own relief, drypoint, and monoprints. Highpoint is proud to exhibit these works in our galleries. Participating schools include: Adams Spanish Immersion Elementary, Belle Plaine Junior and Senior High School, The Blake School, FAIR School Downtown, Lyndale Community School, Minneapolis Kids at Barton and Lyndale, Mississippi Creative Arts Magnet, Oak Park Elementary, Perpich Arts High School, South High School, Saint Paul Parks and Rec On The Go Camp, and St. Peter Catholic School.
The Access/Print Project is a mentorship program that hosts 8 – 10 outstanding teen artists each school year. Teens receive over 70 hours of studio access and instruction in the printmaking arts to create a body of print work.

Do you know a high school student who would be interested in an intensive after school studio printmaking program in 2012? Please encourage them to apply to the Access/Print Project. Applications are available at Highpoint and also can be found on the website on the ACCESS/PRINT PROGRAM page.
