Private Instruction
Private instruction is offered as a service to people unable to attend our regular classes, or wanting to learn specific techniques. Instruction in each of the foundational print media (intaglio, lithography, relief, monotype, and screenprinting) is available. One on one instruction is charged in quarter-hour increments, with a one-hour minimum. Timing and frequency of instruction is dependent on staff availability, class, and studio schedules. This service is considered educational and is not offered as an editioning or ‘printer for hire’ service.
The price for private instruction is $75/hour (plus materials) or $45 per hour for current Highpoint co-op members.
With pre-approval, two people can partake in private instruction at a reduced rate of $125/hour plus materials.
Price includes standard studio materials (solvents, newsprint, black inks, etc.)
Plates, fine papers, and other materials not normally provided to class students or co-op members will be charged at cost.
Studio use outside of instruction sessions is not permitted unless student is a current co-op member.
Private instruction does not automatically grant acceptance to Highpoint’s co-op, the standard interview and portfolio review is required.
