Cryptozoology is a series of sculptural woodcuts by printmaker Nancy Ariza featuring creatures derived from a combination of folklore, misidentification, hoax, and whose existence lacks physical evidence. The series is presented like the walls of a hunter’s trophy room with the prints serving as taxidermy-like mounts, giving the impression that these creatures have been captured, therefore validating their existence.
