New Work by Tom Hollenback

Trace Elements, an exhibition of augmented relief prints by Highpoint cooperative artist Tom Hollenback, is on display in the Threshold Gallery through March 31. Hollenback is attracted to relief printing not so much as an end in itself but as a means to manipulate paper in a structural manner that guides and supports expanded goals with each piece undergoing significant modifications to achieve its definitive form. Recent works have incorporated materials as diverse as silk thread, cast iron, petrified wood, glass beads and dried sheets of acrylic paint as well as formed and found wood.

Hollenback received his MFA from the University of Texas San Antonio and currently resides in Wisconsin.
