We know that sometimes artists aren’t able to hire a professional to document their work, so we’re offering a workshop on how to do it yourself, using your phone. In this 2-hour session, photographer Eric Mueller will give tips on shooting and editing so you can get the best possible photos from your mobile device. We’ll practice shooting artwork together, making sure we get crisp photos with accurate color. In the second part of the workshop we’ll learn how to edit these photos right on your phone, with the free app Snapseed. Eric will teach us how to adjust brightness, contrast, and saturation—and other tips—to make our photos look as close as possible to the original.
Although Eric will be teaching using an iPhone, nearly all the class will also apply to Android users as well. Please download the app Snapseed beforehand so you’ll be ready to edit.
