Free Ink Day: LEGO Printing!
March 8, 12–4 PM at Highpoint

Highpoint invites the community to an afternoon of hands-on printmaking and creative fun throughout the year. These free public events are great for visitors of all ages. All materials for the planned activity are non-toxic and supplied by Highpoint (while supplies last). No registration is necessary – just drop in, bring your creativity, and be ready to get inky! Staff and volunteers will be able to answer any questions along the way.

On March 8th, Free Ink Day will be exploring the exciting intersection of play and art through LEGO printmaking! Using colorful Lego dots and baseplates, participants will design and build their own unique printing plates. Once completed, they will transform their Lego creations into vibrant works of art by applying water-based ink and printing their designs onto paper. This workshop encourages creativity, experimentation, and fun, as participants discover how everyday materials can be used in unexpected ways to create prints.

Parking: Enter by walking through HP’s Lake Street entrance or by the driveway off Colfax. Street parking is available, or visitors are encouraged to bike, walk, or take public transit. The event will take place in HP’s education classroom.

We are looking for Volunteers. Are you interested in helping visitors engage in a free creative outdoor printmaking activity and gaining experience working with an arts nonprofit? Apply below:
