This Valentine’s Day, give a gift that’s as unique as your love! In this romantic and hands-on workshop, you’ll create a one-of-a-kind portrait print of your partner using the traditional technique of drypoint intaglio.

Intaglio (pronounced en/TAHL/yoh) is an Italian printmaking method where artists carve, scratch, or etch into a plate to create beautiful, detailed images. In this class, you'll work with recyclable plastic plates, using a stylus to carve your partner’s portrait in fine, expressive lines. Once your image is etched into the plate, you’ll apply ink to the recessed areas, wipe away the excess, and use an etching press to transfer your design onto dampened paper under high pressure. The result is a rich, textured print—perfect for framing or sharing as a heartfelt, handmade Valentine’s gift!

Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a complete beginner, this class offers a fun, creative, and intimate way to celebrate your connection. No experience necessary—just bring your love and an open heart!

Cost includes all materials to create an edition of 6 prints, chocolate covered strawberries, and champagne.
