Highpoint Editions Artist Sarah Crowner will showcase her new sculptural work in the exhibition: THREE CONCRETE SCULPTURES at the Kayne Griffin Corcoran gallery in California. Three tinted concrete sculptures placed in the gallery’s courtyard express Crowner’s expansion of her vocabulary of forms, textures and colours. One of her sculpture’s forms is taken from a detail of a tree in an architectural drawing by Brazilian architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha. Concrete as a medium alludes to Rocha's use of the material throughout his practice. For another form, Crowner pulls from the world of Matisse.
