This 3 day workshop is designed to teach participants how to create a multi-layered screenprint from start to finish. Learn how to break up a sketch or idea into layers, coat and expose screens, and how to edition on paper and textiles. This class is great for beginner students, or students looking to hone their skills and work time in a professional printmaking studio. Participants will learn using high quality equipment and materials. Expect to print a 2-3 color edition of prints on paper, fabric, and clothing. Maximum image size is 12x18”. All materials are included in the class fee.
About the Instructor: Tyler Green began working at Highpoint in 2012 as an intern, then worked as Teen Mentor, Education and Community Programs Fellow, Education Assistant, and has been the Education and Community Programs Manager since 2017. A Minnesota Native, Tyler finished college at UW Madison with a BFA in printmaking and a minor in Environmental Studies.
Tyler continues to explore both printmaking and environmental practices, often seeking ways to bring the two together. His work primarily consists of relief, monotype, and occasional sculptural elements. He has a small letterpress studio at his home, where many of his prints are made.
